The Road to Web!
Greetings from Thunder Bay!After a long day and a half of travels, including a lovely stay with the Lapp family in Huntsville, we have made it safely to Thunder Bay! The Lapps generously let us spend the night at their lovely home in Huntsville and made a delicious dinner, before we headed off at 7 AM yesterday morning. The drive was beautiful, we even saw a moose! With a few stops along including the giant nickel in Sudbury, lunch in Sioux Saint Marie, and dinner in Marathon, we reached Thunder Bay at 10:30 PM. You can just imagine the sing a longs!!!
Today we embark on our final leg of the journey and fly up to Webequie! We are super excited to get up there and meet the entire community.
We couldn’t have done this awesome road trip without Laura and John, and we wish them all the best as they continue to Pickle Lake! We also can’t wait to see what Jill & Kaitlin, Meighan & Erin and Emily & Thomas get up to on their Northern Initiatives as well, we hope they arrive safe and sound. Wolfpack love. After months of planning and preparation, it’s so exciting to finally be on the road. Thank you to our amazing Peer Directors, family and friends who have supported us along they way. That’s all for now, wishing all international initiatives safe travels!-Katie & Meg
