Meet our Advisory Committee.

QHO’s Advisory Committee meets several times a year to advise the General Co-Directors on topics pertinent to QHO’s operation and role. The purpose of the Committee is to provide non-binding but informative guidance that is used to improve the organization in terms of sustainability, initiative, and administrative structures.

Isabelle Strang

Isabelle graduated from Queen’s in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies and a minor in Global Development Studies. She spent all four years of her time at Queen’s on QHO, starting as a Guyana Peer Educator in 2018-2019. Isabelle continued on QHO as an Outreach Coordinator in 2019-2020, working to promote QHO on campus and to build connections in the broader Kingston community to expand QHO’s reach in its hometown. In 2020-2021 she served as Strategic Planning Director, managing the re-evaluation of QHO’s various Initiatives in the uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, before ultimately taking on the role of General Co-Director in 2021-2022. Isabelle feels that QHO had a significant impact on her undergraduate journey, influencing the academic path she ended up on as well as her outlook on future endeavours post-Queen’s. Isabelle is now working with the organization Youth Fusion to lead healthy living activities with Indigenous youth in Eeyou Istchee, northern Quebec.
