Week 3, can it be!?
This was a big week for the primary team! It was our final week in San Ignacio and marked the half way point of our initiative. This week Chantal and Abby taught their finals lessons in STI's, HIV/AIDS, healthy relationships and abuse. Hills of Promise also had a cultural day in which each class embraced a new culture! It was very entertaining and we were fortunate to have been able to experience it! The kids really enjoyed dressing up and teaching us all about the cultures they were asided. They even had live animals and authentic food! We are really going miss the students and were sad to have to say goodbye.Lauryn and Connor finished their last week at Eden Primary School. They started the week off with some tough lessons on mental health, depression and suicide. They also taught healthy active living, STI's and HIV/AIDS. On Friday they tested the kids' knowledge by playing review jeopardy with all of their classes. This was a fun way to see how much the students had learned through some friendly competition. We are so thankful for how welcoming Eden was and the support we had from the principal and teachers there. We were sad to said goodbye to San Ignacio and our little guesthouse! We have had a great first 3 weeks of initiative and are really looking forward to what the second half has to offer! Next stop - Orangewalk!Xoxo primary pals
