(Français en bas) After many goodbyes, giggles, crying, and whatever Liz did before we left, Blizabeth Linthmunn (for those out of the loop, that's Blake Linthwaite and Elizabeth Munn mashed together) ARE OFF TO SALLUIT!...or at least in the Montreal airport.Blake's mummy was nice enough to drive us to the Montreal airport with our two 30kg bags stuffed with weeks worth of dried food and copious amounts peanut butter (our favourite). We did go over the weight limit initially for our baggage, but a universal agreement was made to scrap the 24 packs of seasame snaps which we realised last minute aren't even that tasty, and have a ridiculous fat content. Who knew?!?!? Look how excited we are! Man we're great. But there's a catch... DUN DUN DUN!According to our lovely Salluit contact and homestay Barb, winds have been blowing to a startling 100Km/h in Salluit!!! WOAH! This means we might be stuck in Purvirnituq for the night but we are optimistic! WE WILL MAKE IT TO SALLUIT! Wish us luck! On va essayer d'écrire nos postes en français aussi, mais soyez gentille!!! Notre français n'est pas très bonne, alors la majorité de la comédie (fantastique je dois dire) va être perdu!Après beaucoup d'au revoirs, de gloussements, pleurer et ce que Liz a fait avant de partir, NOUS SOMMES EN ROUTE POUR SALLUIT!Maman Linthwaite (la mère de Blake) était si gentille qu'elle nous a conduits de Kingston à Montréal avec nos sacs (30kg chacun) remplient avec plusieurs fruits secs et une tonne de beurre d'arachide (une nécessité pour survivre en n'importe quel climat). Ils pesaient trop initialement, mais après être rendu compte qu'on n'aime pas les Seasame Snaps et qu'ils avaient 10g de lipides par paquet (holy moly), nous avons pris une décision de les abandonner. Regarde comme Liz en a hâte d'y aller! Mais il a un problème... Barb (notre contacte et hôte en Salluit) nous a informés qu'il y a des vents qui approchent 100km/h en Salluit! WOWEE! À cause de ces vents, il y a une chance qu'on serait en Purvirnituq pour la nuit, mais nous sommes optimistiques! NOUS ARRIVERRONS EN SALLUIT!!! Souhaitez-nous bonne chance!More to come!
