The Kenya Program

The QHO Kenya initiative was a 6 week health initiative aimed at teaching needs-based health curriculum. QHO Kenya hired 6 Peer Educators who worked closely with the Kenya Program Directors to plan and create a program to deliver on initiative. In the past, the Kenya Initiative has been located in Migroi County, Kenya. The PE’s lived in a nearby village called Mikei, and taught in approximately 17 schools in the surrounding areas. Although the Kenya PE’s were divided into pairs for teaching partners, the Kenya PE’s remained together for the entire initiative. QHO Kenya was fortunate enough to have created a strong partnership with Reiko Kenya, a NGO based in Kenya, and we continued to work closely with this organization to improve our sustainability.
